The 15th Annual Collin County Children's Advocacy Center's Teddy Bear Ride occurred November 4, 2007. The ride is a motorcycle ride from McKinney to the Center's headquarters in Plano. The entry fee for the ride is the donation of a teddy bear for the center's teddy bear room. During their initial visit to the center, children are invited to pick a teddy bear out of the teddy bear room. The year ride allows the room to be replinished. Though donations are taken year round at the center, the majority of their teddy bears come from the annual bike ride. As a kick start for the ride, Dr. D.J. Verret and State Farm Agent Burl Wood teamed up for a 750 teddy bear donation. Approximately 2,000 riders took part in the ride and the collections were a huge success.
